GE Healthcare Part Warranty

      Part Warranty (excluding Specialty Components as defined below).

1.1.  GE Healthcare Parts. Each GE Healthcare part will be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service, and will perform substantially in accordance with GE Healthcare’s written specifications (as they exist on the date the part is shipped)for a period of 120 days for new, refurbished and repaired parts, and 90 days for harvested/used parts, starting on the delivery date of the part.

1.2.  Non-GE Healthcare Parts. Each non-GE Healthcare part will be free from defects in material under normal use and service for a period of 90 days for new, refurbished and repaired parts, and 30 days for used parts, starting on the delivery date of the part.

Specialty Component Warranty.

2.1. GE Healthcare Specialty Components. Each GE Healthcare detector, probe, tube or image intensifier ("Specialty Component") will be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service, and will perform substantially in accordance with GE Healthcare’s written specifications (as they exist on the date the Specialty Component is shipped) for the time-period identified in the table below starting on the delivery date of the Specialty Component.

2.2. Non-GE Healthcare Specialty Components. Each non-GE Healthcare Specialty Component will be free from defects in material under normal use and service for the time-period identified in the table below starting on the delivery date of the Specialty Component.

(a) The period following start of warranty during which a 100% warranty is provided.

(b) The maximum period during which a Pro Rata warranty allowance is provided. The Pro Rata warranty allowance is calculated as:

Customer must pay the then-current price of the Specialty Component replacement less the Pro Rata warranty allowance (a fraction of a month less than 15 days will be disregarded, and a fraction of a month equal to or greater than 15 days will be regarded as a full month).

Remedy. If Customer promptly notifies GE Healthcare of its claim during the warranty and makes the part or Specialty Component available, GE Healthcare will (at its option and subject to the foregoing terms) repair, adjust or replace (with new or refurbished/repaired) the non-conforming part or Specialty Component. The warranty for a part or a Specialty Component provided to correct a warranty failure is the unexpired term of the warranty for the repaired or replaced part or Specialty Component. If an exchange part or Specialty Component is provided, the original becomes GE Healthcare property and Customer must return it to GE Healthcare within a reasonable timeframe of replacement to avoid being billed for the non-returned part or Specialty Component. NO OTHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF NON-INFRINGEMENT, MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, WILL APPLY.
Limitation. GE Healthcare has no obligation to Customer for warranty claims if Customer uses the part or Specialty Component: (a) for non-medical or entertainment use or outside the United States; (b) in combination with any software, hardware or services not recommended in writing by GE Healthcare; and (c) in a manner or environment for which GE Healthcare did not design or license it, or in violation of GE Healthcare’s recommendations or instructions. Warranty service does not include installation. In addition, the warranty does not cover: (i) defects or deficiencies from improper storage or handling, maintenance or use that does not conform to OEM specifications (e.g., accidental damage, improper cleaning, disinfecting, TEE bite marks), inadequate back-up or virus protection, cyber-attacks, or failure to maintain power quality, grounding, temperature and humidity within OEM specifications; (ii) repairs due to power anomalies or any cause external to the part or Specialty Component or beyond GE Healthcare’s control; (iii) payment or reimbursement of facility costs arising from repair or replacement of the part or Specialty Component; (iv) planned maintenance, adjustment, alignment, or calibration; (v) lost or stolen parts or Specialty Components; (vi) parts and Specialty Components with serial numbers altered, defaced or removed; (vii) modification of the part or Specialty Component not approved in writing by GE Healthcare; and (viii) parts or Specialty Components immersed in liquid.

This network switch is a 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet Switch with 8 ports. It provide a seamless migration to higher-speed networking while solving bandwidth issues. The switch is designed to allow simultaneous transmission of multiple packets via high-speed data channels. These are designed for Plug-and-Play installation, featuring auto-MDIX on every port. This means that no crossover cables are required. Every port can either be connected to a PC or another switch for network expansion. The compact, rack mountable metal chassis is ideal for desktop or rack mounting applications. In addition, the lack of fans ensures silent operation. Finally, easy-to-read front panel LEDs show ongoing switch status and simplify troubleshooting. GE HealthCare will accept Customer-returned items that are in new condition, unworn, unaltered and free of damage. Items cannot be returned or exchanged beyond 30 days from Customer’s receipt of the original order and all returned items will be subject to a 15% restocking fee. To obtain a full refund or exchange of the item within the 30 day return period (subject to the 15% restocking fee), Customer must request a return materials authorization (RMA) from GE HealthCare and return the item to GE HealthCare utilizing this RMA number.
