Product Overview

The Rod Link Connector is used in MR and PET patient tables which is part of the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) system. The construction of the rod link connector has a brass threaded rod with end female connector on both the ends. The threaded rod is shielded with heat shrinkable tube, which is a plastic tube used to insulate the rod thus provides abrasion resistance and environmental protection for stranded and solid wire conductors, connections, joints and terminals in electrical work. Igubal® rod ends are corrosion-resistant to be used without problems in harsh environments. In moist or wet environments, they are resistant to weak acids and alkaline. Housing is made from Igumid G, which is an extremely impact-resistant long-fiber-reinforced polymer. It is suitable for temperature ranges from -40° C to +90° C during long-term use. In standard spherical bearings, the spherical ball is made from Iglidur® W300 material, which is known for the lowest coefficients of friction in dry operation and extremely low tendency to stick-slip. One important advantage of Igubal® spherical bearings is that rapid, rotary movements of a mounted shaft take place directly in the spherical portion. This part is being used in Table Assembly 16 Channel 3T and 1.5T, DVw Table-Zero Channel, DVw GEM Table with HDv Cradle and many other systems because of its unique features.
