Product Overview

The Air Filter and Sound Absorbing Foam is a service kit used in GRE console front cover, which is part of the Computed Tomography (CT) system. The service kit consist of air filter, sound absorbing foam, Velcro hooks and upgrade Manual. The foam is attached to the inside of the front cover and position the double-foam edge to create an airflow seal. The thin gray, air-filter foam attached to the Velcro “hooks” by pressing the foam against the hooks. Foam is added to the console’s front cover to reduce the added fan noise and to force air to flow through the chassis to optimize cooling. The material used for the filter is a Quadra-foam™, which offer low pressure drop, fire resistance, and the ability to capture large amounts of airborne dust. It also complies with UL 94 HF-1 self-extinguishing flame safety standards. Filter foam, with a medium porosity 25 PPI works as a depth loading filter, opposed to a surface loading filter, trapping dust particles within its cell structure. It can withstand very high and very low temperatures (-40° C to +100° C), without any change in its properties. The sound absorbing foam made of polyurethane, which has excellent resistance to water and humidity, and is therefore ideal for water and air filtration. Velcro Acrylic foam tape adhesive is used for foam bonding.
