Product Overview

The AMX Display Control Board receives serial data from the AMX-System Control board and provides inputs to the AMX display board. The serial data are processed by the 8031 micro-controllers on board. The micro-controller fetches the program code from the flash memory via the CPLD. The CPLD also monitors the watchdog timer signal from the micro-controller to issue a reset to the displays. The CPLD sends out the control signals, based on the data from the micro-controller, that determines the data to be displayed. The DCB contains the electronics necessary to drive the 9-segment, 9-character display on the DCB and an alphanumeric and bar graph displays on the AMX-4 DB. The DCB is an interface between the SCB and AMX displays (one 9 segment on the AMX-DCB and the other two alphanumeric and bar graph displays on the AMX-DB), technique switches. The DCB communicates with the SCB control via a serial link. The SCB CPU control issues commands and data over this serial link to display desired messages on the operator displays. The DCB stores commands and data sent to it and refers to them when it is ready to execute instructions. The board is braced to its grounded mounting plate by means of 6 screws or metallic fasteners positioned along the corners of the board and other pressure points.
